| Healthy, well tempered, structurally sound puppies are the goal of any breeding we do at Afortunado Portuguese Water dogs. We whelp the puppies in our home and they stay with their mothers until they are ready to start their lives with their new families. No breeding is done without complete health testing of both sire and dam. Each puppy is evaluated prior to placement for temperament and structure. We try to ensure that puppies are placed with families that most closely match their temperaments.
